We began with a bold idea: create technology to save lives. The Commute Guardian aimed to protect cyclists and pedestrians using real-time AI and depth perception. This project inspired our mission to make intelligent vision accessible, leading to the DepthAI platform and innovative hardware that solves real-world challenges.
In 2020, we launched the OAK Kickstarter, introducing OAK-1 and OAK-D for advanced AI vision. Funded in 20 minutes, it raised $1.3M from 6,500+ backers, breaking category records and validating our mission to bring edge AI to real-world applications with accessible, high-performance tools.

In 2022, we evolved our product line to include industrial PoE devices, featuring rugged designs, scalable configurations, and real-time processing capabilities. Tailored for enterprise use, these solutions brought our vision technology to challenging environments, enabling seamless deployments in industries like logistics, automation, and manufacturing.
In 2023, We launched Luxonis Hub, a cloud platform simplifying deployment, version control, and fleet management for vision systems. By providing real-time monitoring and centralized control, Luxonis Hub streamlined operations, reduced complexity, and empowered industries to deploy and manage intelligent vision systems at scale with unmatched ease and reliability.
In 2025, we launched the Series 4 lineup, our next step in advancing edge AI to mimic human-like perception. By processing high-resolution inputs and making real-time decisions locally, these devices reduce latency and enable machines to adapt with precision and speed, bringing vision systems closer to human sensory capabilities than ever before.
